OTHER RECORDINGS:

MATT JORDAN FUTURBAND

This was collaboration with the late drummer, Wells Kelly. Matt is working on a movie of his life story. One song, "Sometimes Love," written by Wells was released as a single, and made Billboard. Prior to joining Matt, Wells was with the famous great band, "Orleans" and was all their hits, including "Love Takes Time," "Still The One," and "Dance With Me."

The Matt Jordan "Futurband" songs were sung by Wells Kelly and Gregg Hollister. Gregg wrote the song, "Gotta Get Up," that Billboard loved on Matt's latest smooth jazz CD. Formerly with Phoebe Snow, Gregg was the bass player in Matt's "Futurband."

The arrangements were written by the co-producer, Horace Ott, (arranger for all the "Village People" hits.) The engineer at "Electric Lady," the New York City studio where Matt recorded, was Ron St. Germaine, who recorded Jimmy Hendrix. Ron is a top engineer and producer in New York City.

Matt's music attorney at that time was Michael Reinert, now V.P. of Universal Records. Wells died in the middle of Matt's project, while substituting in London for Meatloaf's drummer. He was out, the night he died, with a few "Tower Of Power" friends going to see his old college roommate, Huey Lewis.

MERCURY REV

Matt recorded with this world wide touring/recording band, Mercury Rev. This alternative rock band has a jazz feel and wanted trumpet solos on selected songs. One of these, released by Sony Records, was a hit called, "Empire State," in which Matt played a very high, very fast solo, as requested by the band. Rolling Stone praised the song calling Matt's playing comparable to Miles Davis, Chet Baker, and Dizzy Gillespie. These happened to all be great players Matt studied while growing up in School, learning jazz, playing along with their records.

STUDEO RECORDINGS

Matt is very quick in the studio and is available to play backgrounds, and/or solos. He can site read music, or if arrangements are not available, he can play anything by ear, very quickly. He has done this with many bands and singers.

LOCAL RECORDINGS:

"Hudson Valley Christmas," and "Christmas in Poughkeepsie," was region release songs that had a lot of airplay in the area.

MATT AS A MUSIC PRODUCER AND PUBLISHER

Matt owns the publishing company, "Futurband Publishing," which is a member of ASCAP and "Futurband Records." He became certified as a producer at the Ganya Ravan school for music production in New York City. Ganya was formerly with the band, "Ten Wheel Drive."

If you desire to make a demo or a full CD, one may contact Matt to produce, assist, or even just to collaborate with his record or publishing company.
