MATT JORDAN 5 BANDS

1) Matt Jordan All Star Jazz Band

The band, composed of 5 to 8 musicians, does both "Smooth Jazz," as on our CD, and "hot jazz" from the greats, like Horace Silver, Miles Davis, Chet Baker, Herbie Hancock, "Dizzy," John Coltrane, Freddie Hubbard, etc. Blended in with the classic progressive jazz, is Latin, Swing, Funk, and most forms of jazz.

This contemporary jazz band not only performs with energy, vigor, and power, it also blends in creative smooth jazz originals, with beauty and sensitivity.

All musicians are professionals, with extensive experience performing, touring, and recording. Just a few examples include Sal Giorgiani, Sax; (formerly Maynard Ferguson) Jimmy Commack, Bass; (Ahmad Jamal) Ken Geoffre, Sax; (Smokey Robinson) and Arti Dixson, Drums; (formerly Ahmad Jamal)

Audiences become awed and part of the experience. Some get up and dance on the funky tunes.

2) Matt Jordan "Sinatra Tribute Band."

This band does the big Sinatra hits and others of his not so well known swing and ballad tunes. Matt both sings and plays the trumpet. He uses the same players from his jazz band, and some promoters like an evening with both, "Sinatra And Jazz."

The band uses 4 to 7 players, based on budget. From "New York, New York," to "All Of Me," most of his hits are covered, pleasing crowds of all ages.

3) Matt Jordan "Oldies Rock Band"

This is a fun band to dance to, with 4 to 6 men, as needed. The band does all the old favorites from the Beatles thru most major groups. These songs like, "Mustang Sally," "Midnight Hour," "Ticket To Ride," are great to dance to, or just sit and sing along with.

This band is great for clubs, weddings, parties, etc. and has a very large email following list.

4) Matt Jordan "Funkybig Dance Band."

This exciting 11 piece big band makes you feel like you are hearing a large Las Vegas band, with 4 horns, bass, guitar, keys, drums, lead vocalist, and two back round singers. The band will cut size down if needed.... Hear all your old favorites like "Brick House," "Play That Funky Music," and songs from Kool and the Gang, Tower of Power, Earth Wind and Fire, and many other bands you can not sit still to. This is a very powerful big band, one of very few left in the country.

5) Matt Jordan Concert Band

This band, composed of 24 musicians, plays great exciting classical music, such as "William Tell Overture," Poet And Peasant," "Barber Of Seville," and many others. While the size limits the number of concerts we perform, I can say that the band is enjoyed by both children and adults.

Matt started out with classical training and played first solo chair throughout school, and in a local classical band for several years after college, and conducts this band. The music was left to Matt by the last conductor Matt played for, Dominick Lo Faro when the great conductor passed away.
He had hoped to keep this music alive.
